Over Christmas break, I went to the Hollywood Costume exhibit at the VMFA twice! I really loved it. My little sister and I sew some of our own clothes, so it was especially inspiring to us. It really opened my eyes to the art of costuming and what an important role it plays in every movie. Costume artists have to consider the personality of the character, the situation they are in, where they are going, the time period, and many more factors when planning each costume. Some of the ones displayed were so exquisitely and creatively made. The dress in this picture had a veil made of pumpkin seeds!
